There is a lot of discussion about CBD in the news these days and the medical community has become very interested in determining the role this natural substance should play in the treatment and prevention of disease. CBD is a natural molecule derived from the hemp plant which is in the cannabis family.
CBD oil has been studied for its potential role in treating many common health issues, including anxiety, depression, acne and heart disease. For those with cancer, it may even provide a natural alternative for pain and symptom relief.

How Does CBD Work?
While the science regarding CBD and its use is still being conducted, some basic knowledge of how CBD works has been identified. Your body perceives pain through a variety of systems and one of them in the brain is called the endocannabinoid system.
When CBD binds to specific receptors located in this system, the body responds with decreasing pain transmission using something called cGMP. In addition, CBD also increases the levels of a neurotransmitter called anandamide in the blood which is involved in pain regulation. CBD is a known, potent anti-inflammatory agent that reduces pain and decreases swelling.
Our Leadership
Jane Gordon is the store owner, alternative medicine advocate, and consumer. After opening a Kratom shop in Aurora, Colorado, in 2028, Jane decided to expand her business by starting her own CBD line to help provide people and pets with help for their unique needs. Jane loves seeing how her amazing, loyal staff go above and beyond to treat customers like family. In her free time, Jane enjoys skiing, hiking, biking, and exploring the beautiful state of Colorado.
Ashley is originally from Louisiana and moved to Colorado in 2016. Since then, she has worked in digital marketing and content creation for almost a decade, building a career helping small and local businesses. Ashley has always had a passion for holistic health and alternative medicine, and has been a CBD user for several years. When she’s not at the shop or typing away on her computer, Ashley can be found reading, gaming, or enjoying a horror movie.
Grant is a Colorado native who overcame a crippling addiction and depression by using Kratom, CBD, and other herbal remedies. He spends his days happily spreading the word of herbal medicine and his hope for a future where herbs and pharmaceuticals can help patients in tandem with one another. When Grant is relaxing he is usually researching random science videos on YouTube and enjoying time with his family.
