What do CBD Immunity Capsules taste like?
All CBD capsules at The Apothecary are designed to be nearly tasteless. Using a 100% vegetarian capsule (no gelatin or animal products!), these capsules only contain trace aromas or flavors from the herbs and superfoods inside. The Brothers Apothecary Immunity Capsules may have a light taste of turmeric, though it will likely be very mild in profile.
When should I use Immunity Support?
We suggest taking Immunity Support daily to help support a healthy immune system. It’s best to take herbal products on an empty stomach, usually 30 minutes to 2 hours before a meal. Because The Brothers Apothecary CBD capsules contain a proprietary hemp blend, including their bioavailability fat-matrix, you do not need to worry about eating a heavy meal to supplement your intake with fatty foods.
Recommended: Take 1-2 capsules daily, working up to a serving size that feels appropriate for you.
What is in Immunity Support?
The Brothers Apothecary Immunity Support capsules contain a powerhouse of bioactive compounds, including the primary component, Curcumin. Curcumin is the bright yellow photochemical produced by the turmeric plant, which gives turmeric its coloring. It is used to support a healthy immune system, and alongside CBD, it may also support the relief of occasional aches and pains. Note: these capsules use pure organic turmeric as the source of curcumin (not a pure curcumin concentrate).
Turmeric is native to India and was an important herb in Aryuveda and Traditional Chinese Medicine. It is also very popular in Asian and Middle Eastern cooking. It is a member of the ginger family and is sometimes called yellow ginger. Its use has been heavily integrated into herbalism, food, and many cultural dishes.
The Brothers Apothecary then pair their turmeric with black pepper, which contains the compound Piperine. Piperine is a compound known to improve the absorption of curcumin by the body. This unique combination is designed to support an overall healthy body, including a healthy immune system. Native to southern India and Sri Lanka, black pepper is now widely cultivated throughout the tropics and it is the most commonly used spice in the world. It adds a flavorful woodsy, pine, and hot flavor, though this taste is masked by the exterior vegetable capsule used during production. Black pepper is also commonly used in Aryuveda and Traditional Chinese Medicine.
